New page

== Rewards ==

What the encounter book results are (or of the average distribution of encounter rewards)

Here is a rough guide by Ryan Laukat (mechanicalfish) [http://boardgamegeek.com/article/22375899#22375899]

Each encounter has an easy challenge (usually a 3, but sometimes a 2), a medium challenge (4-5), and a difficult challenge (6-9). These challenges are usually split between two choices. It's best if both choices have two different difficulties.

'''Possible Rewards'''

'''EASY (Choose one of these.)'''
* 1-2 coins
* fish
* mushroom
* fruit

'''MEDIUM (Choose 4 coins, or 1-2 coins and a good.)'''
* 1-4 coins
* paper
* pot
* rope
* two of a low good

'''DIFFICULT (Choose 5-6 coins, or 2-3 coins and a good.)'''
* 3-6 coins
* amethyst
* ore
* two of a medium good

'''REPUTATION'''
:Almost all rewards should give or take away reputation. A reward of 1 reputation can be added to a normal reward with no changes. A reward of 2 or 3 reputation would require a challenge number of +1 or +2. Losing 1 or 2 reputation should give the player 1-2 extra coins in the reward, or perhaps a give the player an extra good.

'''NOTES'''
:The reward of a new villager is roughly equal to 4.
Avoid giving two or more different good types in one reward.
These are general suggestions, and you should change things up a bit here and there to keep things interesting.
