The 500 uses the standard 5+1 mag tube and barrel system. It&#039;s the most common by far and 95% of aftermarket addons/barrels etc were designed for it. You can switch barrels and accessories to get a gun for pretty much anything you want. The 590SP is a 500 with combat only in mind. It uses the 835 mag tube/barrel system which gives it three more shots, but aftermarket barrels aren&#039;t out there.
