Two Page View

"Set the page layout and orientation. Changing the page layout is especially useful when you want to zoom out to get an overview of the document layout. You can use the following page layouts when viewing PDF documents:

Two Page View - Displays each two-page spread with no portion of other pages visible.

If a document has more than two pages, you can ensure that the first page appears alone on the right side of the document pane. Select either Two Page View or Two Page Scrolling. Also select View > Page Display > Show Cover Page In Two Page View."

"How To PERMANENTLY TurnOff the Right Side Pane in Adobe Reader
To stop the"Tools|Comments" sidebar from automatically opening every time youopen a PDF so that you can READ your PDF in full screen, this solution workedfor me on both my desktop PC and laptop.
This is thesolution:

Go to C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\Services (for win7 64-bit)

or

C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\Services (for win7 32-bit)

Find and Deletethese 2 files: DEXShare.spi and DEXEchoSign.spi
Yes, you will stillsee the word "Tools| Comments" at the top but at least your PDFs willopen in full screen and you won't have to click "Tools" to hide thatstupid side pane every time you open a PDF." [1]

In Reader DC: Edit > Preferences > Documents > "Open Tool pane for each document"

This is a workaround which I have used, and it works so far. You need to delete/edit/move this file: Viewer.aapp C > Program Files > Adobe > Acrobat Reader DC >Reader > AcroApp > ENU (Mine is Windows 7, the location may differ according to your OS) In my case, I renamed it Viewer2.aap in case I need it back.

How do I remove the right hand pane in Reader DC

I've stumbled upon an ugly workaround but it works for me. I'm using Windows 8.1. Go to the install directory, i.e." C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroApp\ENU". Create a new subfolder (I used "Disabled"). Move 3 files from the "ENU" folder into the new "Disabled" folder: AppCenter_R.aapp & Home.aapp & Viewer.aapp. Open a PDF and no more Tool Pane! I originally moved just the "Viewer" file but if you clicked on "Home" or "Tools" on the toolbar you couldn't go back to the "Document." Moving all 3 files takes care of that issue. Like a lot of people I don't and won't ever use any of the tools. I just want a reader. Let me know if this works for you.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroApp\ENU
AppCenter_R.aapp
Home.aapp
Viewer.aapp
