description

"mControl is a lightweight replacement for display configuration utilities like HP My Display, Samsung Magictune, NEC NAVIset, LG ForteManager and the like, offering most, if not all of the features without the bloat. Unlike the software that manufacturers bundle with their monitor, mControl is designed with the end-user in mind and not to promote the manufacturer's brand name and product line.

mControl is intended primarily for use with WHQL display drivers and premium displays that are optimized for use with both x86 and x64 versions of Windows Vista, but it also works well under Windows XP/2000 with a wide range of DDC/CI monitors that are driven by newer graphics controllers from AMD, Intel, NVidia and S3 Graphics. Basically, if your monitor supports DDC/CI and new WHQL display drivers continue to be released for your graphics controller, mControl should work. If, however, you have an older, legacy operating system or graphics card and find that mControl does not work, you may find that the softMCCS utility provides direct communication with your DDC/CI monitor through the widest variety of GPUs, regardless of the level of driver support, and is compatible with all x86 and x64 versions of Windows, from the original retail release of Windows 95 onwards. softMCCS includes comprehensive diagnostic support that can even help pinpoint problems with mControl."
