Power after Purchasing

Q: Can Governor and Admiral's ability be used immediately after purchasing? [1]

A: (Alexander Pfister):

"Rules are not clear, so let me (Designer) clarify:

The phrase "Whenever it is your time to take a card/cards during Phase 2" means the begining of your turn taking card(s).

Therefore, all cards with this phrase mean that they must be bought before.

Or in other words: You get the benefit of an Admiral or Governor not the same turn (1 turn = taking all cards you are allowed to take) as you hired them.

A: Mademoiselle's power can be immediately used on the turn you take her.

Claming Expeditions

Q: When can expeditions be completed? [2]

Q: From "1. Discover", righthand column, end of 2nd paragraph:

A player may claim Expeditions any time during his turn, and as many as he is able to.
